the volvo XC90 v8 can do better • EmpK888 on 06-Jan-09 this is the crappiest hummer yet!! • xmodrock on 23-Dec-08 228 theres a freakin crossover behind it • haydenrice92 on 22-Dec-08 shouldn't they go pick up the kids from soccer with that? • karnivor55 on 19-Dec-08 So you're telling me there's a Jeep with 15-16" of wheel travel? Thats bullshit. Give me a source for that info if its true...which I already know it isn't. • mak450 on 16-Dec-08 I have a jeep :) leveled and seating on the springs there is 10" of space above my 35" tires. On the other end if you lift it up off the ground, it can down travel about 5" from leveled. However wheel travel isnt everything, ground clearance is very important too which the hummer lacks even more. Just because YOU have no time nor the skills to PROPERLY modify vehicles doesnt mean the rest of us are lacking that too. Like i said comparing stock vs stock is stupid when you start going offroad. • Triple88a on 16-Dec-08 No I don't have the time, nor the skill but I don't care. I can get it whenever I want it, first of all there aren't any trails that would require something of that nature. I don't even see what I'm arguing with you, you've done nothing but talk nonsense. First the Hummer has no wheel articulation, then its some garbage about economics, then you've got some mystery jeep that was sold to you with 15" of wheel travel, and now its ground clearance...is there no end to your verbal diarrhea? • mak450 on 17-Dec-08 before you talk, please do your research, you are making your self look like a fool. Mysterious jeep? Jeeps are not sold bud, they are built!!! Just take a look.. go on yahoo and type Jeep flex and you will swallow your words quite fast. • Triple88a on 21-Dec-08 Continued Comparing stock to stock for performance is worthless. However comparing stock to stock DESIGN is whats important. For a hummer (and other vehicles with the similar design) to lift it properly and make it good offroad, you will have to completely redo the entire suspension which gets expensive FAST if you dont do your own work. On other vehicles such as jeeps for example, they are designed to be lifted, so to lift them you only have to do very little. I hope you understand what i mean. • Triple88a on 16-Dec-08 What are you talking about? They mean nothing? To who? Listen guy, its nice that you have the time to modify your Jeep, but not everyone has the spare time or knowhow to do so. If you wanna talk potential of the vehicle then we'll be here all day going over whatifs until the vehicles in question bare little resemblance to the originals. So how about we shelve this whole stock vs modified thing you seem to be on. • mak450 on 16-Dec-08 |
