Trucks are extremely useful machines. As for the future, GM needs to built more cars like the Malibu. Luckily the Chevy Volt and Chevy Cruz are coming. • boblee768 on 05-Jan-09 Yes i agree with you, the point was that there are too many trucks in the lineup. There are more trucks than regular cars and as fuel prices grow they wont sell and then you loose because its bad for the business if half of your vehicle lineup stop to sell at one point. Yes alternative energy is the way to go but the car makers resist it. • cmihut on 20-Dec-08 GM needs to learn to make/use smaller engines also. 2.4 is a large engine still. Where is the diesel? In europe there are engines at 1.4 which are a bit small but they are supercharged and get a better mpg than the 2.4 engine. Also half chevrolet has more suvs/trucks in their lineup than small/medium family cars. They should drop those ugly useless trucks and suvs if they want to be competitive in the future. Its nice to see some fresh air in the US auto industry. • cmihut on 19-Dec-08 what do you mean..drop SUVS and trucks? so what then..people who have large families but hate minivans, what do they do? ..what do contract workers do? put all their gear in sedans? this is not europe..the problem is not our huge cars..the problem is the way we power them..small cars in america..that's just stupid..the future is alternative fuels..ie electric/solar/hybrid/natural gas..you can't discredit a big car just because YOU don't like them..in many cases, big trucks and such are needed • DontTread0nMe on 19-Dec-08 You make a good point...right on! • pauchen58 on 03-Jan-09 thanks a lot man.. • DontTread0nMe on 04-Jan-09 Americans don't want diesels in our cars, they suck! • GeneralMotorsRules on 01-Jan-09 the Bugatti Veyron is also made by VW. Price tag $1.500.000 • liftedview on 10-Dec-08 GM just keeps getting better. Thanks for posting. • deeeznuts00 on 03-Dec-08 and838 - your story is exactly like mine. I had a Camry for years and always intended to replace it with another. I checked out the Malibu and was one of the first people to buy where I live. Once I drove it I fell in love with it. I now have 18,000 miles on it without a single problem. Other cars I've had would have been in the shop by now. I urge you to give Malibu a try before commiting to a foreign car. Once you drive it you will want it. • royboy361 on 26-Nov-08 |
